چکیده

Introduction. Reintervention in patients with spinal disk herniation is shown to significantly decrease likelihood of favorable outcomes the postoperative period. Thus, it important individually assess risk factors for and recurrence each patient, choose a suitable surgical option.
Objective: evaluate changes levels immunoregulatory mediators blood serum extracted disc tissue allegedly healthy individuals lumbar relapses.
Materials methods. We examined 60 patients. The control group included 19 traumatic cord injuries at level. main 41 herniation. Twenty-two had primary while 11 presented single clinical neurological relapses pre-operated level 8 recurrent relapses. Solid-phase enzyme immunoassay detected proinflammatory cytokines (interleukin-6, tumor necrosis factor-), chemokines (interleukin-8, monocyte chemoattractant protein-1), growth (vascular endothelial factor, transforming factor-1), osteodestruction markers (osteoprogesterin, matrix metalloproteinase-8) tissue.
Results. found that destruction chronic inflammation developed both locally generally elevating cytokines/chemokines, factors, metalloproteinase 8.
Conclusion. results emphasize significance local studied parameters plan personalized treatment

Role of Expression of Inflammatory Mediators in Primary and Recurrent Lumbar Disc Herniation

OBJECTIVE To assess role of some inflammatory mediators in patients with primary and recurrent lumbar disc herniation. Expression of IL-6, transforming growth factor (TGF)-1, insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-1, and Bcl-2-associated X protein (BAX) have been shown to be more intense in the primary group than the recurrent goup, but this mediators may be important aspects prognostic. METHODS 19...

Intradural lumbar disk herniation.

Intradural lumbar disk herniation is an uncommon occurrence in the natural course and clinical spectrum of lumbar disk disease. The reported cases suggest an incidence of 0.13%. This case report presents some of the commonly occurring clinical and radiographic findings in intradural lumbar disk herniation, including those of CT. It also demonstrates the importance of metrizamide-enhanced CT in ...

Risk Factors for Recurrent Lumbar Disc Herniation

Recurrent lumbar disc herniation (rLDH) is a common complication following primary discectomy. This systematic review aimed to investigate the current evidence on risk factors for rLDH. Cohort or case-control studies addressing risk factors for rLDH were identified by search in Pubmed (Medline), Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane library from inception to June 2015. Relevant results were pool...

Clinical Outcomes after Microdiscectomy for Recurrent Lumbar Disk Herniation: A Single-Center Study

Background: Revision discectomy is the principal procedure for recurrent lumbar disk herniation (RLDH). The clinicaloutcomes after this procedure are as good as or slightly poorer than those produced by primary discectomy. In thisstudy, the clinical outcomes of patients treated with microsurgical discectomy for RLDH were analyzed. Methods: We examined 179 patients undergoing lumbar microdiscecto...
